Good luck, the desison to make your own prints and what is best, is a lot of trial and error."Fade To Black." it's not just a video game it's a video game concept and one that's worth learning as it definitely looks good for any game cart where you want to not just jump screens but have one fade to black. And since I buy it from sams it is more aforable. As for paper I buy the Kodak Ultima from sams club. I need to beable to print 8x10 prints, but subdye printers this size cost to much. Untill they come out with something better this will have to do. Spraying does help, it keeps finger prints of and does protect, to what extent is debatable. That one I never got back,it was faded completly. It protected it some compared to one I put in another paper straight from the printer. I use to spray with a matte clear coat that did not have uv resistant qualitys, and I use a print to put in the paper. Spraying it does protect it some I know for sure. The one sprayed on photopaper still looks great, but plan to do tests on ones in the sun. Right now i have someone hanging a pic that I made in florestent light and it faded a non protective print on thick paper, but was not photo paper. I am going to do more tests on fading later. I spray my photos in a wraping paper box and put the boxes in rubber made containers, that keeps the debre off. The glossy I like the best, they changed the matte formula to a fast drying type and it just does not do good after the formula change. Sprays available that will slow down, if not stop fading.
